I Had Eager Painting Helpers. And a Beautiful Autumn Day.
One Day and the Job is Complete.
That was the Plan. But Lessons Were Learned.
Here Are My 4 Tips on How NOT to Finish Wood Furniture:
1. Let Your Kids Do the Painting and Don’t Check On What They’re Doing.
2. If the Hardware Doesn’t Come Off, it’s OK, just Paint Around It.
3. After Sanding and Applying Stain to the Top, Don’t Wait for the Stain to Cure.
4. Apply Minwax Paste Finishing Wax to a Still Tacky Stained Surface.
Did You Know that Paste Finishing Wax Applied to a Wet Surface Removes the Stain?
Oh It Most Definitely Does.
