This is When the All Mighty Crock Pot Snaps to Attention.
I’ve Never Been a Fan of Crock Pots. Guess I’ve Had Too Many Watery Mystery Meat Meals.
But I’m Learning how to Wrangle a Decent Meal Out of This Thing. By Trial and Error.
This One Was a Winner. Who Knew?!
Easy. Real Easy.
And Just Like the Washing Machine, the Crock Does All the Work.
Here’s What Went Into the Pot…
Pork Ribs.
Red Potatoes and Peppers.
Soy Sauce for a little liquid.
5 Minutes to Prepare…
Layer All in the Pot. Hardest/Densest Things In First is the Rule.
Well, that’s My Rule, But I Think It’s a Crock Pot Rule Too(?)
For This One, I Wasn’t Sure if the Ribs or the Potatoes Should Go In First…
I Went with Potatoes on the Bottom. We’ll Test the Rule.
Peppers on Top of Potatoes.
Rib Racks Folded Over the Potato Pile Like Angel Wings.
Swirl or Drizzle On BBQ Sauce.
Pour in a Small Amount of Soy Sauce.
Cover. No Peeking.
Cook for 8 Hours on Low.
Crock Pot Working. We’re Working. It’s All Good.
Home to the Smells of a Summer BBQ.
The BBQ Sauce Blackened…Ok, Burnt…But it’s Like it Came Off a Grill(!)
5 Minutes Before Dinner…
Drop the Corn in Water. Bring to a Boil. When it Boils, Remove the Corn.
