Week 3 of the One Room Challenge.
It’s Now or Never for Paint.
It’s been a while since we last painted.
Last time we got Charlottesville painters to do the whole house.
But there’s only one room to do this time so I can make do with what I’ve got.
Shed paint. Paint that’s been stored for over a year. I held my Breath.
The little Splat on the can lid looked gray. A Pale Gray.
A Paint Drip on the Other Can is White.
Hopefully this will Work. But On the Walls could be a different story.
But whatever the Story….the Walls will be Done with the Shed Paint.

Can’t Wait to Show You!
I did a little research on my inspiration photograph. I had taken the photo on a tour of Hampton Court in England. I captured my daughter at the bottom of the stairs. I was awe-struck by the palace and this staircase. I learned that the staircase is the Queen’s Staircase. Designed and constructed by the Huguenot Jean Tijou in1694-96. The Queen’s Staircase was used by all 6 of Henry VIII’s wives.
My Photo of the Queens’ Staircase.
There are some Painting details that need to be done. This Window. In Black.
To Match the Opposite Facing Window’s Black Trim.
I’m Kind of Liking the Austere Look. Not sure if shades need to be added to the Sconces.
There will be No Window Coverings for my View of the Mountain. Facing East.
Love the Always Changing Light.
Thank You Linda of Calling It Home for this Wonderful Opportunity.
