Work has been Crazy Busy and the Holidays are Moving Upon Us at Breakneck Speed.
So Very Thankful for Today. A Day to Cook and Bake and Pack with My Girls.
For a Thanksgiving Adventure.
Early Morning. Up and Ready.
The Thanksgiving Centerpiece. Finishing Touches and Ready for Our Trip to Durango.
Years Ago…This Was My Attempt at the Thanksgiving Turkey…Trying to Be Fancy with Chipotle Sauce.
Chipotle Sauce Burns to a Crisp after 6 Hours in the Oven. But You Knew That. 🙂
So Now…I do the Centerpiece and Sides and an Ice Cream Pie.
We Leave the Turkey to the Experts.
Cranberry Sauce. My East Coast Roots. I Can Handle This.
Triple Chocolate Brownies. The Girls’ Favorite.
Some Animal Friends Helped and Will Travel with Us to the Mountains.
Acorn Squash. Baked with Oil, Brown Sugar and Maple Syrup.
Packing the Appetizers and Relish Tray.
And Packing for our Camping/Glamping Trip in Northern New Mexico.
Oh My. One Night in a Yurt. In the Forest. On Top of a Mountain. One Mile Hike In.
Always Ready for an Adventure.
I’ll Keep You Posted.
Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours.
Enjoy the Magic of the Season. 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy!
Happy Thanksgiving – So Glad You are All Together!
Nice planning – those squash look delish
Don’t you wish every dish was as easy to make as cranberries? And that squash looks delish! It reminds me that I copied a recipe off some blog recently (maybe here!) for acorn squash in a crock pot — and I’d better find it, fast!
Have a glorious Thanksgiving. With helpers like yours, I think your family table is in good hands!
Well, you are the first family I know to spend a nite in a yurt! Everything looks terrific! Have a great adventure and a great Thanksgiving!
Love your photography skills, and the cranberries look delicious. I love chocolate so I don’t blame the girls for it being their favourite.
Enjoyed reading your cooking adventure.
Hi Simply-Me…thanks for your kind words…my cooking is creative, but not always eatable…but sometimes it’s all about the process and the journey!
Hi Suzee – Hope your Thanksgiving was fabulous!
My pleasure, practice makes perfect and I believe that, and tried it too. I agree the process and journey are equally enjoyable.
