I Scream.
I guess I just get excited.
Dolphins. Pods and Pods of Dolphins.
So Graceful. Sleek. Fast. Charming.
I Love Dolphins.
So we bundled up (yes, it was chilly) and hopped on a Dolphin Tour Boat.
Love the Outfit…Canada Jacket with Florida Flamingo Skirt, Striped Leggings and Flip Flops.
I like Pelicans Too and these Rascals are Everywhere.
Busy Chatting Away.
On to Open Water of the Intracoastal Waterway.
For me the smell of sea air is intoxicating.
The Intracoastal Waterway is impressive. Manmade by the Army Corp of Engineers.
It is a 3,000 mile (4,800 km) inland waterway along the Atlantic end Gulf of Mexico coasts of the United States, running from Boston southward along the Atlantic Seaboard and around the southern tip of Florida, then following the Gulf Coast to Brownsville, Texas.
I love the Gulf Coast.
The cutest Husband and Wife Team man the dolphin boat.
They travel the Intracoastal Waterway and out to the Gulf to find the dolphins.
Even the Captain uses a GPS Locator to guide the way.
Not as Romantic as navigating by the North Star, but it works.
At first there were lots of Boats, but only a few dolphin sightngs.
And then the dolphins were all around us.
But they’re fast. It is very difficult to photograph dolphins.
But no matter. The ride was so relaxing.
And International. The passengers hailed from all over the world…India, Canada, Poland and England.
I chatted with two lively ladies from Kent, England….No Photos.
Too Busy Chatting Away.
We went on and on about the Royal Family and Kate’s wedding.
Wasn’t the Abbey lovely with all those trees?!
Isn’t that George just delightful?!
Oh yes, we’ve met the Queen many times. She is lovely.
And we’ve dined with the Duchess of Kent.
And then it got around to American Politics.
So…what about this new President? We tried to decide who we would have voted for…
Then we all threw up our hands and laughed and shook our heads and laughed so more.
And as the boat made its way back to the dock, the final consensus…
We’ll just have to Wait and See.
It certainly was a lively boat ride. Maybe not the foretold Dolphin Adventure…
But more of a Pelican Political Party Caucus.
Busy Chatting Away.
We’ll see about the Magic.
I know about the screaming – good job
I just really get excited…:)
I don’t know why I’m so crazy about pelicans but I am! And these are some wonderful photos. I’d call it a great day!
It was a very great day. Hooray for those goofy yet graceful pelicans…Master Controllers of the Gulf!
I love dolphins too. Looks like a great trip x
Hi Brigid…so glad you are able to come along on the dolphin tour!
Looks like a great trip, even if it was cold! I’ve been lucky enough to swim with dolphins in Jamaica but never seen them out in the wild. Still want to do a dolphin / whale watching tour one day 🙂
Nice pics! Looks like it was a fun outing. Thank you for swinging by the “Ranch” and for the follow. We ❤︎ visitors. 🙂
Hi Tails – Lovely to meet you. Glad you enjoyed the dolphin tour. 🙂
