I Love Everything about the Beach. The Smell of Salt Water. The Heat of the Sun on my Skin. The Coolness of the Water. The Rhythmic Sounds of the Waves. I Love It All.
If I could have planned this, I would have happily Self Isolated in Florida. My Days would be at the Beach keeping a Safe Distance from All. Looking for Shells and Shark Teeth. Swimming. Safe and Salty. Working Remotely from our Little Florida House in the Cool of the Evening. Taking Breaks with Dips in the Pool. Yes. That would have worked just fine.
But Of Course, this is Not how All This is Playing Out.
But If I can’t Be At the Beach, I can at Least Experience the Beach. Virtually.
For a Quick Peek at “My Beach” I checked out EarthCam Englewood Beach.
This was the Live View – on an 80 degree Sunny Sunday Afternoon.
Wait! Not a Soul is There. The Florida Beaches are CLOSED. Yikes!
My understanding is the closures are to prevent Spring Breakers from coming together on the beaches and further spreading the Virus.
I checked other Florida Beach Cams and All were Abandoned.
Look at Naples. Pristine. Untouched. Beautiful. Sad.
But If We Can’t Travel, We can always Virtual Travel. The Disney Parks are Shuttered. But did you know you Can Still Ride the Rides??
We Strapped In and Went for a Spin. Virtually, of course.
One of My Favorites. Pirates of the Caribbean!
Or What about Frozen?? How Cute are Olaf and Sven!
Silly. Nutty. But We’re Trying to Hold On to a Bit of Magic.
How are You Doing?
Please Stay Safe. Stay Strong. Stay Well.
Together We Will Make It Happen. In Reality, Not Virtually.
