Tomatoes and Bell Peppers. New Mexico Chile. Artichokes and Edamame.
All tucked into Bed in Organic Bedding. With Sun, Shade and Hose Water.
And occasionally, a bit of Rain.

And This Year I get to Watch Them All Come to Life.

In this Skinny Sliver of a Raised Bed Garden. At Home.
My Day is still filled with Lawyering. And I am Thankful for that. But with the flick of the Shelter-in-Place Order, I have no daily commute. No Parking tactics. No lugging a boring bag lunch to work.
No undue stress.
I feel way more productive. More relaxed. More at peace.

With this New Norm, it is easy to take quick breaks to water the garden. To check the mail. To feed the fish. To chat with the girls. To share lunch together. To Clorax-wipe all surfaces.

I’m still Up Early to Greet the Sun. But now I can start the work day before breakfast with Wet Hair pulled up in a bun. Shorts and a Tank. All positively perfect for productive work flow. The lawyerly work clothes are now for ZOOM meetings.

Looking forward to “exotic” vegetables that the girls will eat…artichokes!

There is even Time to Grow some Rugged, but Still Green, Grass.

A Plush Cushion for Backyard Camping. With S’Mores on the Fire Pit.

Time to Dine Outside. Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner.

Now I won’t miss the daily Water Lily Blooms.

I get to capture puddles from an early morning rain.

I’m sure the Pond Fish enjoy my visits. They love “McDonald’s” Fish Food.

Of course, I ask, like everyone, WHEN IS THIS OVER???…but I try to take in the moments and enjoy this new-found peace.

I (TERRIBLY!) Miss Travel. Especially Summer Travel. Once Again, No Trip to France. UGH!!! But Maybe Soon?…or Kind Of Soon??
But the Important Goal is We Are All Staying Safe.
Working from Home. Where everyone is Staying Safe.
Hope you are Safe and Well and Enjoying the New Magic.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! You are doing a great job, keeping the lemonade coming!
Your home, your yard, your garden, the pond …. your family is so blessed to have these lovely surroundings, as well as mom at home! Thanks for sharing your bit of heaven.
By the way, the Cimino pool has yet to be inspected … so is still closed. I’ll keep you posted!
