She hoped the celebration would be the same as all the others.

The Difference this Year is the Gifts are from Costco…the only store that is mask-ready, plexiglass protected and open for business.
Gifts are Food Snacks, Seaweed, Candy, Costco-tees, oh, yes, and a Tent.
Random Gifts, for sure…But She is Thrilled.
The 2020 Birthday to Remember Always. Every Crazy Moment.
The Birthday Closes with this High Point…Sleeping Under the Stars…with her Sister…in the Safety of the Backyard. Battery Candles lit. iPads Engaged. Queen-size Blow-Up Bed covered with Sun-Kissed Quilts in the center of the tent. Giggles. Love. Perfectly Timed before Each Goes Off to New Adventures that they will navigate Solo…high school and college.
And Girl Scout-S’Mores ’round the Firepit. With added entertainment by a Neighbor’s Firework display…Pre-July 4th Fun.
The Intense Heat of the Day is Over. The Cool of Darkness Swirls round sleepy heads.
Truth be told, I was so overwhelmed with the Beauty of this Birthday Celebration, that I took no photos. I breathed in all the images and sealed them in my heart. Sometimes, I think, you need to do that. There are times when jockeying a camera and embracing a moment don’t work. And these were moments that I needed to embrace. With all the Worldwide Fears of COVID-19 and putting Life on hold, I needed to see that We are All Healthy and Safe and Having Fun. Being Together as a Family. I am realizing that these Moments Fly by in split seconds.
Morning Breakfast…Hole in One Eggs. Prepared by a very grown-up girl.
Stay Safe. Stay Well. Enjoy the Moments.
It’s These Moments that Turn Into Magic.
