Enough with “Bored in the House and I’m in the House Bored”…
Let’s Bake Cookies!
But in All this Summer Heat? Help!…Ugh!…No!

What if We created a Summer Oven???
Outside Under the Trees!

We Get to Work setting up an Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Oven on Saw Horses and an Old Wood Table Top. Outside.

Doesn’t everyone have an Otis Spunkmeyer Oven?
No? Well that, my friends, is a story for another day. 🙂
We set to Pre-Heat and let Otis get to Work.

In the coolness of the kitchen, we prep two kinds of cookie dough: Chocolate Chip and Sugar – the Girls’ favorites.

I wasn’t sure this would work, but Miss Doodle 2 was excited to try.
We quickly filled 3 stainless trays with 3 dozen balls of chilled dough.

Pop the Trays in the Oven. Set Alexa as Timekeeper. 14 Minutes. And Wait.

After 7 minutes, subtle fresh-baked cookie smells float up into the trees.

The sun is bearing down, but Otis cheerily bakes on.

Alexa announces Time’s Up. DING! DONE!

Giggles All Around!
Mom, You didn’t Burn Them!

Gee, Thanks. Thanks for the Cookie Magic.

Hope you are Staying Safe and enjoying these Special Times Together.
No Bored in the House Here….Well, not yet anyway. 🙂
The smell floated all the way to Rio Grande Blvd., had I known it was coming from your house, I would have climbed the gate to get one!
Seriously, they look delicious …. question: I’ve heard of Otis, but not the oven …is it solar or electric?
Hi Suzee – we had 3 dozen – we could have passed you a few over the gate. The oven is electric…an Ebay win for me. Fun to operate.
