Don’t You Just Love Old Silver? Me Too. I Love the Patterns, the Luster, and the Weight of Old Silver. I Collect Vintage Pieces and Mix it Up and Use it Every Day. If the Queen Should Ever Stop by for Tea, I’ll Be Ready.

But Cleaning All This? Ahh, not so Much.
It’s True that Using Silver Every Day will keep it from Tarnishing, but Sometimes a Good Cleaning is in Order.
Here’s the Best Way to Clean Silver. Easy. Easy. Easy.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE CHEMISTRY!
BAKING SODA. SALT. ALUMINUM FOIL. BOILING WATER.

Here are the Steps…
Step One: Wrap Baking Pans with Foil.

Step Two: Fill Baking Pans with the Silver.

Step Three: Sprinkle the Silver with Baking Soda and Salt.

Step Four: Fill the Pans with Boiling Water to Cover the Silver.

Step Five: Let the Silver Sit in the Bath for 15 Minutes, Then Turn.

Keep Silver in the Bath for 15 Minutes More.

Step Six: Rinse and Set on a Towel to Dry.

THE BEFORE.

THE AFTER.
