Recipe for Christmas Smells…Gather lovely Christmas spices: Vanilla. Nutmeg. Apple Spice. Oranges, Cinnamon Powder and Cinnamon Sticks. Pour into a Pot with Water – fill to about 3/4 of the pot. Heat on Low Heat. Stir. Let simmer on the stove to fill the kitchen with Christmas Smells. You can Bottle the mixture and Keep Chilled. Then Pour back into a pot, add more water, and simmer for all the Christmas Smells once again.
Recipe for Orange Slices: Cut naval oranges into thin slices. Set on parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Bake at 150 degrees F for 6 hours. Yes, 6 hours. (I first tried setting the oranges slices out in the sun, but it didn’t work and the oranges began to blacken and rot) Once dry, pierce a small hole and string with bakery twine. Hang on garland, wreaths and trees. Sweet and Lovely and Cats do not like the smell and will stay away. 🙂
